Workout Review

I didn’t get a workout in. Lesson #1 that I am learning at the moment sleep impacts EVERYTHING that I do the next day. I had a full day of work, so I had the option of working out in the morning or after 9 pm. Since the fire alarm was chirping all night, I decided to sleep in once. I unplugged it at 2 am and put it in my garage, so I couldn’t hear it. Sadly I still did, but I was able to finally get to sleep around 2 pm. So waking up at 5 am to go running just didn’t seem like it was possible. I told myself that I’ll be able to go for my long run after I get off at night.

Lesson # 2 it’s hot in Vegas, and the weather will impact how you work out. When I got home, it was still 100 plus outside at 9 am. Too hot to go for a long run and lead me to feel defeated. Once I feel defeated, I tend to not look for solutions.

How’s my journey to fitness going?

Since I felt defeated and had a long day at work, I fell into old habits. I got on uber eats and ordered some unhealthy food, killing my healthy eating. So that leads me to Lesson # 3. If I start to feel defeated, there is a high chance that I might take other shortcuts in my health plan. I expect to see my weight bump back up tomorrow, and I also wonder how much harder my run and workout with my trainer Joey will be?

I think that part of me blogging daily about my fitness journey also focuses me on looking within to see what things I need to learn about myself to hold myself more accountable.
